Bryan Robson has
hailed the decision of Manchester United’s new signing Shinji Kagawa not to
wear the iconic number seven shirt at United.
Kagawa on signing for United from
Borussia Dortmund said: ‘Since I am very new to the club, I have no intention
to get a 'big ‘number’. It was announced on Tuesday that the new signing will
wear No26 with Antonio Valencia taking on the seven shirt.
Robson said: ‘Straight away that
makes him seem like a good, honest lad.
‘For him to say that rather than put the No7 shirt on, proves he
must be a down-to-earth lad. One thing you get with Japanese boys is they’re
very hard working and conscientious about the job.’
