Beckham bags one game suspension

LA Galaxy star David Beckham has been suspended for one game by Major League Soccer's disciplinary committee for kicking a ball at Earthquake's player Sam Cronin late in his team's 4-3 loss at San Jose.

MLS announced the one match ban on Thursday for the midfielder.

Beckham kicked a ball at Sam Cronin who was down in the penalty box at the time, and the midfielder's kick set off a prolonged argument between the teams.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player was issued a yellow card for the kick during the game. He missed the Galaxy's home game to Philadelphia on Wednesday night under suspension for an accumulation of yellow cards.
