John Terry to appear in court

Chelsea captain John Terry will soon be arraigned in court for racial abuse on Queens Park Rangers Anton Ferdinand.

The case relates to a comment allegedly uttered to QPR'S defender Anton Ferdinand when the teams played last October.

The 31-year-old defender could face the maximum sentence of £2,500 fine, if found guilty.

The Chelsea skipper's trial will take place at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

The decision to investigate the European champions defender was based on a complaint received from a member of the public after the Premier League match at Loftus Road.
