Di Matteo: I am pleased

Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo says he is 'pleased' with the performance of his new signings Eden Hazard and Marko Marin in their first game for the club.

Eden Hazard and Marko Marin recorded their names in the scorer's list in their debut against a more match-fit Sounders side. Romelu Lukaku also struck his first Chelsea goals in their game 4-2 win.

RDM: 'It's good for them in their first game for their new club. It was good to have a good understanding with their new tem-mates and I am pleased with the match today. We got out of it what we were looking for so it's been a good evening. We didn't get any injuries, so it's so far so good.

'We were looking for a good work out, and we saw some good possession and combination play, integrating new players and seeing our younger talents in the club that will hopefully be the future.

'Hazard is a verstatile player, he can play in the role he played tonight but also out wide. Last season we didn't have too many options in the role he played tonight apart from Juan, so it's great for the club and the team to have different options.
