Donovan, Beckham and Henry get fans vote to face Chelsea



Major League Soccer (MLS) have announced the team selected by fans to face English Premiership side Chelsea on July 25 in the league's all-star game.

The MLS fans picked Landon Donovan, David Beckham and Thierry Henry in the first eleven that will play the current European champions.

The final selection of players that will take on Chelsea will be done by D.C. United coach Ben Olsen. He will choose the actual starting lineup based on game considerations, from among a game-day roster of 18 players. The rest of the roster will be done by Olsen and MLS Commissioner Don Garber.

The MLS will release the list of players that will participate in the game next Sunday during the broadcast of the New York Red Bulls' game against the Seattle Sounders.

Goalkeeper: Jimmy Nielsen (Sporting Kansas City)

Defenders: Steven Beitashour (San Jose Earthquakes), Aurelien Collin (Sporting Kansas City)
