Didier Deschamps gets France job



France Football Federation have announced the appointment of former World Cup-winning captain Didier Deschamps as their new manager.
 
Deschamps, 43, vacated his position at Marseille last week to take over from Laurent Blanc who resigned after France suffered defeat in the hands of Spain in the qarter-finsls of UEFA EURO 2012.
 
The former Juventus, Chelsea and Valencia player won the World Cup and Euro 2000 as a player.
 
Deschamps' first test will be against South American champions Uruguay in Le Havre on 15 August.
