Błaszczykowski suffers ankle injury


Borussia Dortmund Jakub Błaszczykowski has torn ankle ligaments and will his side's matches against Real Madrid CF.
 
The midfielder suffered the injury in Sunday's 1-1 Bundesliga draw at Hannover 96.
 
The Polish international will also misses his country's FIFA World Cup qualifier with England next Tuesday, but is out of Dortmund's double-header against Real Madrid CF on 24 October and 6 November.
 
Dortmund will be hoping to have Germany defender Mats Hummels and midfielder Sven Bender back from injury.
 
Hummels has heavy metatarsal bruising and Bender picked up a head injury, meaning both are out for two weeks and definitely unavailable for Germany's fixtures against the Republic of Ireland and Sweden.
 
Dortmund are second in Group D, two points behind Madrid and three ahead of third-placed Manchester City FC.
