PAOK appeal rejected

The UEFA Appeals Body has rejected PAOK FC's appeal against the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body's decisions following the incidents in the game against SK Rapid Wien in Salonika.

PAOK have been ordered to play their next three UEFA competition home games behind closed doors, i.e. with no spectators present. The club have also been fined €150,000.

In addition, the Greek club will be excluded from the next competition for which they qualify in the next five years, with this ban being suspended for a probationary period of three years.

PAOK were charged with the improper conduct of supporters – crowd disturbances, pitch invasion, setting off and throwing of missiles and fireworks – and insufficient organisation. They won at home 2-1 but lost the second leg 3-0 and were eliminated from the competition.
