Ibrahimovic: We have the potential to succeed
Paris Saint-Germain hitman Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes his side has 'the potential to succeed' in the Champions League.
PSG will face Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday nignt in their Group A opener and the giant Sweden striker is optimistic and ambitious.
He said: 'I have played the Champions League every year, for different teams. Today, it's a new adventure. We have earned respect, this team is hungry and we will be 200 per cent. We are living something incredible at this club. The club is growing and in just a few weeks, I've witnessed the change. To play in the Champions League will of course be a positive for us, a superb experience and a great test for those that are making their debuts in the competition. We have the potential to succeed.
'The Champions League is very difficult. Even if you're not drawn against Real Madrid or FC Barcelona, you know that every team is very strong. We have respect for each of our opponents, but this is not an easy group. Being favourite or not is not important, what counts is playing good football and finding the solutions to get out of this group.
Dynamo Kiev have been playing in the Champions League for a long time and every year they cause their opponents problems. I played against Ukraine with my national team at Euro 2012 and several Dynamo players were on the pitch and I know it won't be easy. But at any rate, we need to show we are up to the challenge and we are ready to take on anyone.'
