The former Arsenal star said: 'I haven't come here to take Busquets's place, I think he's the best there is in his position. I'm coming to make my own contribution, and to try to play as well as I can. I also played as a centre-back at Arsenal, so I'll play where Vilanova asks me to.
'I'm very happy to be at Barcelona. It's a big day for me. I would like to thank Arsenal and Arsene Wenger for letting me come here. I am arriving to a team of champions, and I'll try to do my best. I like that it is a very friendly place.'
