Wenger: I will assess my own performances

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he will assess his performance before signing another contract with the Gunners.

The Frenchman's contract expires in 2014.

In an interview with Sky Sports News, he said: 'I have to consider if I do well or not. If I don't I have to consider my future. I will assess my own performances and then make a decision. At the moment, we're not there.

'I just want to do well for the club as long as I can. At my age, you have to assess whether you have the fitness, the desire and the commitment which this job demands. Then you have to make decisions. I hope I will be lucid and intelligent enough to assess my performance.'
