Sunderland have presented an improved bid of £12m for Wolves striker Steven Fletcher.
The offer is likely to be Sunderland's final and is under going consideration.
The first bid of £10m was rejected out of hand but this offer is believed to be much closer to Wolves' valuation for the 25-year-old.
Fletcher's former club Burnley will get 15% of any profit Wolves make on a player they signed for £7m in 2010.
