Andrés Iniesta says he is not competing with fellow teammates Lionel Messi and Xavi for Ballon d'Or.
The Spain international who won the Best Player of the Tournament at UEFA EURO 2012 says his 'happiness comes first'.
'I always hope to win it, but not just the Ballon d'Or. I hope to win the titles I play for and to reach the very top. It has nothing to do with me. I can’t control it and I think it's a waste of time.
'I would be delighted to obtain a distinction like that. They'll be talk of which players might win it or not, but what's important for me is enjoying myself and feeling like a European champion. My happiness comes first.
'I'm not competing with Messi to win the Ballon d'Or. Or with Cristiano, or Xavi, or Casillas. We aren't competing against each other. There's someone who decides it.'
